......::::FORGOTTEN SUNRISE::::......

Forgotten Sunrise was born in the summer of `92. In June of `93 the band recorded their first demo "Behind The Abysmal Sky". After that Forgotten Sunrise signed a record deal with Rising Realm Records. In December 1993 they started to record material for a mini-Cd called "Forever Sleeping Greystones". The material saw the light in December 1994. The mini-album was received with a warm welcome in several places around the world. This was followed by the most depressing period during which there was no activity at all.
After this long pause there was a long-expected rebirth in August `96. The line-up changed and also the style. There wasn`t only death metal anymore, but many influences from trip-hop, breakbeat, techno, ebm, synthpop, shoegaze, industrial, jazz etc.
With this new sound the band released a promo-cd back in `98/`99 (including 5 songs and 3 remixes) and a self-made mini-Cd "a.Nimal f.Lesh - looma liha" in 2000 (incl. 6 songs and 2 remixes). In February they released a new maxi-cd-single "Ple:se Disco-nnect Me" (released in limited quantity) including also a remix by Ghost from the legendary dark-industrial band G.G.F.H..

But it is just now that new blood flows in Forgotten Sunrise’s veins. Finally the band received a deal for 2 albums from the italian label My Kingdom Music. They immediately accepted this offer and soon the recording session for the first album started... It was March 2003. The recordings followed for the entire summer in several sessions but at the end the album was realised and completed. "Ru:mipu:dus", including 10 tracks + CD-Rom video + a remix by Ghost (GGFH), saw the light in the first days of 2004 and finally as a new creature they could show the real value of their essence with a great debut acclaimed by media and fans.

After a great responses and a long live activity, in 2006 a new album called ”Willand” was ready to be recorded and it happened puntually so that now they present to their audience an apocalyptic sound that could be considered as a real representation of their Futuristic, Cold and Wonderful world. Call it trip metal, deathbeat or whatever…, but in any case prepare yourselves to a fall of tormented sounds.

Overview:
FORGOTTEN SUNRISE is without a doubt one the most exciting bands in years not only because of all the different styles but because the mix works like a charm. It’s definitely something you haven’t heard before, Psychedelic, trippy, schizophrenic, disturbing and utterly mesmerizing is what I’d call it. One of the key factors is that the band has an uncanny talent for Pop sensibility. They mix all kinds of different elements and then by some mysterious way they manage to make it catchy as hell. Oh yeah and damn heavy too when need be. I do believe this is a violation against some universal laws of music. Every open minded Metal fan should give it a chance.
