Fuelblooded is a relatively new band, a name from the new Millennium. A very experienced combo, however - all different band members paid their metal dues in other bands before joining forces as Fuelblooded. In the early days, Fuelblooded toured all over The Netherlands, with The Defaced (S), Darkane (S) and Arch Enemy (S), among others, and recorded a promo which sparked international label interest.
Fuelblooded’s debut album, 'Inflict the Inevitable', was recorded in different phases over the course of 2004. Recordings were finished by december of 2004, after which the band headed off to Denmark where mixing and mastering duties were fulfilled by Jacob Hansen (Mercenary, Invocator, Raunchy, Communic). The album was released worldwide by UK based label Copro Records on March 20, 2006, and was well received by the media, as numerous raving reviews during the months after the release show. The band toured the UK with fellow Dutchmen Detonation, and played their most extensive gig cycle to date promoting ‘Inflict the Inevitable’, among which shows with Nile, The Haunted, Death Angel, Psycroptic, Forbidden, Six Feet Under, Decapitated, as well as a truckload of local shows. Fuelblooded recently finished off the touring cycle for ‘Inflict the Inevitable’ playing two club shows with Swedish rising stars Scar Symmetry.
By the end of 2006, new vocalist Peter Brinkman replaced his predecessor Vital Welten. With Peter, the band started writing their sophomore album, while continuing to promote their debut album as much as possible. In the beginning of 2008, recordings for their new album commenced.
While showing the natural progression expected from a band still developing, Fuelblooded makes maximum use of their two latest additions, guitarist Danny Tunker and lead vocalist Peter Brinkman, both of which make stunning appearances. Danny by exposing us to his blistering lead guitar attack, adding a shred component as well as a new melodic twist to Fuelblooded's sound - Peter by delivering a strong vocal performance in every aspect, making Fuelblooded a stronger unit altogether. His superb clean vocals are in great contrast with his deep growls, and his voice fits the music perfectly.
Fuelblooded are back with a vengeance with their new offering, ‘Off the Face of the Earth’, a dynamic slab of metal that is bound to turn some heads in the metal community. While staying true to their melodic thrash/death metal roots, Fuelblooded explore new territory with this new effort. Mixed and mastered by producer extraordinaire Jonas Kjellgren (Scar Symmetry, The Absence, Carnal Forge, a.o.), ‘Off the Face of the Earth’ not only has a powerful and crystal clear sound, it also offers a range of songs with a variety rarely heard on metal albums these days.
The album will see the light thanks to MY KINGDOM MUSIC on February 5th, 2010.
