Everything began in 1998 from Antonio’s (keyboards) and Lorenzo’s (guitar) common will to create an innovative genre of Metal that could assemble the melody and passion of Italian folk music and the power of extreme Metal. The concept of the promo CD “I Tre Attimi Del Silenzio” born simply from a piano and an acoustic guitar. Later Francesco (drums) and Marco (scream) joined the project giving birth to the theatricality and unique sound of IN TORMENTATA QUIETE. The four musicians decided to add a melodic and powerful voice far away from the extreme metal scene, so Giannico De Paulis was called to play this part. After this Matteo Grazzini (bass) and Riccardo D'Andrea (guitar) joined ITQ. In order to give more emphasis to the musical chiaroscuro, ITQ added a female voice, so first Marta Meloni and then Sara Tenaglia joined the project.
In 2000-2003 period, ITQ play many gigs around Italy and in the meanwhile they work on the composition of the songs belonging to "In Tormentata Quiete". Unfortunely, Giannico and Matteo left the band for personal reasons and they were replaced by Giovanni Notarangelo and Maurizio D'Apote. In fall 2003, the s/t album was recorded and it was released in May 2005 by Dawn Of Sadness. The full-length was very appreciated and obtained very good reviews world wide. The release of “InTormentataQuiete” was followed by an Italian mini-tour. The years 2006-2007 were a troubled period: Riccardo and Sara left, and some other components moved temporary away from Bologna. But the fire was still alive and it gave rise to new musical inspiration, which lead to the composition of “Teatroelementale”. In 2008, the clouds are far away and ITQ can again work on the arrangement of the new songs and in 2009 entered again in FearStudio for the recording sessions of Teatroelementale, which release is foreseen in October 2009 by My Kingdom Music.
