KENOS project started in 1996 with the idea to create a Death-Metal band as “Underwise”. In 2001 after some line-up changes the band’s name changed in KENOS. The skills of the new musicians allowed the band to start a serious songwriting and in a few time they began an intensive live activity, supported also by a strong fans’encouragement. Kenos’sound was hard to define: as strong “american” riffing with keybords and female vocal accompany on heavy drumming. With this new line-up, Kenos, in 2002 realized for MAE Productions their debut CD titled “Rigor Mortis”, which sold out 1000 copies in the first six months.
In 2002 a new revolution in the line-up happened and this gave new fresh energy to a sound now always close to the Death Metal but with tons of contaminations, from classical to ethnical, from melodic to electronic music.
In the late 2002 the band met a young producer, Giuseppe Morazzoni, who believed in them and decided to begin a collaboration. In January 2003 Kenos produced a new CD: “Intersection”. The songs were recorded in four months and released in 2004 by Adrenaline Records. The album great responses permit the band to share the stage with bands like The Crown, Entombed, Novembre, Labirinth, Mortuary Drape, Incantation, Dismember, Ephel Duath, Rotting Christ and many more.
On the early 2007 Kenos made their second full-length called “The Craving” for Lucretia Records International and support them with an European tour with the US band Vital Remains. After this tour and the great words about the album, in 2008 KENOS start the songwriting of the new album “X-TORSION” that will be recorded at Green Sound Studios.
