In the summer of 2006, former member and frontman in legendary British Death Metal band CANCER, John Walker, started a new European metal band called LIQUID GRAVEYARD.
A new band, different to Cancer, although some aspects would remain inevitably the same. With Raquel Walker on vocals, and playing a style ranging between Avantgarde death metal, alternative and progressive rock, the idea was to create songs by dressing them up in different forms of power and extremity, this wasn’t an open invitation to make as much noise as possible but to take the songs into a different audio dimension, so with the foundations of John’s musical histories and the focus of songs, LIQUID GRAVEYARD was born.
One year later, Adrian de Buitléar, ex bassist in Mourning Beloveth, joined the project and added his personal touch to the music. He also became the band’s manager and promoter, so they started playing the first few gigs in Spain, and in the spring of 2008 the first demo “Criministers” was recorded. Some months later they found a new drummer, Acaymo D. and with him the first album “On Evil Days” was finally recorded in April 2009.
A month later a deal with the Italian label MY KINGDOM MUSIC was signed for the release of the album that will be released on October 12nd 2009. |
