After playing and touring for more than 10 years with the acclaimed Antiqua and Project Firestart, Jacobo decided that it was time to follow a new path of darkness. MAJESTIC DOWNFALL started as a One Man’s Doom band in August of 2006. The idea was to recapture the feeling of the 90’s European Doom Metal scene, while experimenting with newer and darker sounds.

In 2007, Majestic Downfall released “The First Abyss”. It featured 3 songs of Melodic Death/Doom with a playing time of 24 minutes. The same demo got Majestic Downfall a deal with Solitude Productions and was reprinted in 2008 in a split album with the Italian band Ansia.

After the good response of the split album, Majestic Downfall began writing the bands first full-lenght CD ¨Temple of Guilt¨which earned him a deal with the Italian Label My Kingdom Music, who had previously released Jacobo´s Thrash Metal Project Ticket To Hell. The first full-length of the band is a 5 song piece with more than 55 minutes of expressive Doom Metal.

Majestic Downfall is a one-man-band, which recaptures the feeling of the 90’s European Doom Metal scene, and mixes it with some more modern Doom Metal and Depressive Black Metal overtones. The music is somber and melancholic in some moments, while in others it is simply apokalyptic and funereal.
