Nova Art has been formed to perform modern uncommon metal music inspired by art-rock, heavy, progressive, alternative and modern metal.
In 2000 recorded first song, appeared in "CORONACH II-Tunes of Dusk" compilation. In February 2003 Nova Art played "InProg'2003" - annual progressive music fest in Moscow.
In the beginning of 2005 released the first album "The Art of Nova" by Valiant Music Production. In October 2005 to support this release, played a mini-tour in Russia. In 2006 the band was invited to play at annual ProgPower festival in the Netherlands, and successfully performed there on the 1st of October, 2006. The performance got good reviews. Nova Art became the first Russian band at ProgPower Festival.
In the summer 2007 played Red Alert Open Air in Yevpatoriya (Republic of Crimea, Ukraine). In 2008 recorded new album "Follow Yourself". The album is produced by Kristian "Kohle" Kohlmannslehner (Sieges Even, Crematory and so on), vocal co-produced by Devon Graves (ex-Psycotic Waltz, Deadsoul Tribe).
In January 2009 NOVA ART signed contract with MY KINGDOM MUSIC on worldwide release of "Follow Yourself" album that sees the light on May 2009 and that will present beautiful melodies and complicated instrumental parts, expressive vocal and a bit Petrucci-like guitar, various keyboard passages and unusual backing sounds.
