Oblivio born from the will of two roman boys, Stefano [guitar] and Dario [bass]. They intend to give new life to the sonorities doom-death metal years '90. Emiliano [drums, childhood’s friend of Dario] and Daniele [guitar, by a pleasant message on internet] enter in the band. The 4 decide to begin to know themselves playing the mythical album of the Katatonia "brave murder day", but the sound was away from their wishes and finding a singer able to interpret those songs it was difficult. Then to obviate to these problems comes the graft of another one at the guitar,mario ,and the improvisation of dario behind the microphone. The group with the following line up plays its first concert to the "sonica"[roma]. The concert is all right and is the point of departure for their most important moment, massimo enters to the voice [already in the almacridaem and in fearwell].
Unfortunaly at the same days stefano leaves because of personal reason and the other ones decide to replace the powerful sound of a rhythmics with six rope with a quiter keyboard. Meantime Oblivio in June 2005 begin the layout of the songs with the conclusive graft of Tiziana[now in Lykaion] to the keyboard that contributes to delineate the personal sound of the Oblivio. At the eve of the recordings of the demo Tiziana leaves for musical divergences but the group finds a new member,Adriano,that it immediately understands the musical message of Oblivio. The band records the demo “Songs for unforgettable suffering” in December 2005, reviewed very good by magazines and rock-metal webzines.
After some exciting concerts, the band begins to write the songs for the next work intending to acquire more melody and impact leaving some bitterness of the previous release. “Dreams are distant memories” is the title of the new work, recorded at “The Outer Sound Studios” between the last days of January and early days of Februray 2007 with the famous producer Giuseppe Orlando... and this is only the beginning of a new history to live.
