The project SHIVAN was created by Hrive in 1996 with the aim of playing original extreme music influenced by doom nuances. Athas and Daheven were immediately part of the band.
In 1997 they recorded their first demo
tape “Bitter As Gall” and began to play live in a lot of shows
when Yuri joined the band.
The period after the demo released was a bad moment for the band so we
decided to split, but in 2000 new energies permitted us to start again
our musical path with new members (Ynis Witrin at keys) and above all
with a deal with Pulsar Light Records for our debut album called “Whatever
Lot’s Above”, recorded at Vs Studios and mastered at Temple
of Noise Studios. This album was released in 2002
and worldwidely distributed.
After this album the band started to
compose new songs, but with a new singer, Seere. He gave to the band a
new light and opened new horizons thanks also to his vocal charachteristics,
surely less extreme and more various. This pushed the band to work on
more atmospheric music surely closer to Gothic Metal with Dark Doom influences.
So we entered the studio again to record a new promo album, “When
Wishes Sicken” in Majestic Studios with Marino De Angeli.
After this the band started a long sequence
of live shows to promote its new work with great results of media and
audience. At the same there were new line-up changes, Daheven was replaced
by Raziel, and also Ynis Witrin left the band, now the new keyboards player
is Sytry.
In 2007 finally our efforts was awarded by a new contract for the official
release of “When Wishes Sicken” with My Kingdom Music and
we are ready to show our new Dark sound.
